Mindfulness Mentoring

These 45 minute online sessions can be arranged through my enquiry form.

Why meditate one to one?

Imagine a space where you can prioritise yourself for a change and take time to reconnect with yourself and allow for rest and restoration.

In turning your attention on the present moment a regular practice can help you to cope with the challenges in life, better regulate our emotions, and improve your relationships with both yourself and others.

I offer these private sessions to a range of people. Some are beginners, others are seasoned meditators.

One of the benefits of private meditation sessions is that we can attend to your specific needs, which can be helpful for a range of people, including trauma survivors, and people who are neurodivergent or part of the LGBTQIA+ community.

Who can benefit?

  • Beginners looking to start their meditation practice in a supportive and personalised environment.

  • Experienced meditators who wish to deepen their practice.

  • Trauma survivors seeking a gentle and flexible approach to meditation.

  • Neurodivergent people who can benefit from adapting practices to suit their unique needs.

  • People in the LGBTQIA+ community who'd like to practice in an inclusive and affirming meditation space.

My journey

My journey with meditation began in my early thirties in Brisbane as someone feeling profoundly alone and lost.

Meditation helped me find safety and ground in my body, in nature and community with others.

My path integrated personal therapy, individual work with a dharma (Buddhist) teacher, contemplative practice in nature, and silent meditation retreats.

I facilitate secular mindfulness practices that remain rooted in the wisdom and compassion of their Buddhist origins.

My approach to facilitation is to hold space and be guided through deep listening, with an anti-oppressive, flexible and gentle form of guiding meditation and contemplative inquiry.

While my facilitation is currently focussed on private meditation sessions, I have previously facilitated meditation classes for Leeds City Council, NHS Shared Business Services and Jamyang Buddhist Centre Leeds and half-day retreats.

My Professional Training in Mindfulness Facilitation

Certificate in Professional Mindfulness Teaching (2013-14) Mindfulness Training Institute - with Martin Aylward (Author of Awake where you are) and Mark Coleman (Author of Make Peace with your Mind).

It was a great pleasure and a priviledge to be part of the inaugrual training offered by Mark and Martin through their Mindfulness Training Institute - the course is exceptional and now runs alternate years in the United States and Europe.

Seeing with the Heart Yearlong Mentorship Programme for Facilitators (2022) Mindful Living Revolution - I was part of the inaugural training online with Deborah Eden Tull (Author of Relational Mindfulness and Luminous Darkness).

This soulful and deeply enriching training in the art of facilitation and relational mindfulness practice was a tremendous gift to be part of - both professionally and personally.

Mentoring happens one to one and involves supporting people in their practice over time. The mentoring relationship supports people to access their own insight and deeper understanding with the support of a mentor who knows them.

“Recipe for meditation:

100% commitment to being present and 100% forgiveness for every moment you aren’t.”
